The Drift

Memory Drawing

October 1st, 2008 · review by Tom Fiction

The sound of ‘Memory Drawings’ is euphoric.

Big and beautiful melodys crash into chaotic jazz frenzys. Then from the turmoil the bass pokes through with a hypnotic groove that takes you away to another planet. And all this without loosing a relentless intensity that will keep you hooked right till the end.

Whilest, at times, comparisons could be made to label mates Mono, or even The Cinematic Orcherchestra The Drift certainly have something new to offer. It’s not only post rock fans that will be celebrating this release, there is something here for many an avid music lover.
