This years climate camp is now well and truly over and whilst many have declared the camp a great success its time to reflect upon the camps failures as well as its successes.
Uri Gordon, activist and author of “Anarchy Alive!: Anti-authoritarian Politics from Practice to Theory” took part in a debate with journalist/author George Marshall about the role of radical politics in the camp. There debate takes on the issue of radicalism vs. broad appeal as well as touching on anti-authoritarian action and the role of the state in preventing climate change etc.
You can see this debate on Uri Gordon’s Blog at http://anarchyalive.com/
As an addendum to this you can now read the article “Modern Ecologism and its Prospects” in the Last Hours archives.
“Anarchy Alive!” is available to buy from AK Press UK
