From Exeter, The Cut Ups play a beautiful blend of melodic hardcore, with lovely undertones of Snuff, Leatherface and any other half decent punk band you might care to mention. Simply put, and because I should really be at work rather than writing a CD review, this album is wonderful.

During the recent onslaught on Gaza I was attempting to work on an art project. I found it almost impossible to concentrate on anything though other than the constant barrage of news coming from Gaza about the destruction Israel was wrecking on a largely defenceless population. The comic was a response, of some sort, to my inability to understand this aggression, how pointless art appears when governments are willing to use such obscene violence to maintain their control.
